Inside Harue Dental Clinic

A quiet space tucked away near Garosu-gil.
An atmosphere that feels more like a gallery than a dental clinic.

A tour of Harue

Welcome to Harue Dental Clinic.
Let us show you around.

Our clinic is in a residential area just off Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong.
You can spot the Harue sign above a large ginkgo tree that changes with the seasons.

The building has a basement and five floors above ground, with a white and dark gray brick exterior. The ground-floor windows display messages from the clinic.

At the entrance, two large paintings hang on the wall. An LED screen fills another wall with artwork accompanied by quiet classical music. Visitors often say it feels like a gallery; being close to Garosu-gil, we occasionally welcome people who have mistaken it for one.

With flowers and music, we hoped to create the feeling of a small hotel lobby — a welcoming space for everyone who visits.

Along the stairs, a BE@RBRICK figure stands guard among paintings made by Dr. Lee herself.

On the second floor, beige marble and floor-to-ceiling glass divide the waiting area from treatment rooms along a curved layout. Individual private rooms provide a more comfortable setting for care.

On the stairs to the basement, small bulbs form a large circular light fixture.

Along the corridor, treatment rooms are on the right and Harue’s own dental laboratory is on the left. This is where our restorations are made, using 11 ceramic milling units, 8 zirconia milling units, 2 metal milling units, 9 sintering units and 4 furnaces. The laboratory works continuously to help reduce the time patients spend in treatment.

This space is for the staff to cook, talk and hold meetings.

We hope everyone who visits Harue feels comfortable and leaves in good spirits.
Thank you for taking a look around our clinic.

Disinfection

Our 19-step infection-control process

Harue has established its own infection-control rules and follows them carefully.

Many dental instruments come into direct contact with blood and other bodily fluids, so preventing cross-infection between patients is essential. Harue follows thorough hygiene and disinfection procedures and provides regular infection-control training for clinicians and all staff.

01

Dedicated hygiene management

Under the director’s supervision, dedicated staff manage treatment-room hygiene and instrument disinfection as part of a clearly assigned hygiene system.

02

Separate instrument processing

Instruments are separated into single-use items, instruments used for patients with infectious diseases, surgical instruments and restorative instruments. Used instruments and opened instrument packs are collected promptly for separate processing.

03

Disposal of single-use instruments

Single-use instruments are discarded in medical-waste containers after one use.

04

Medical-waste collection

Discarded single-use instruments and other medical waste are collected by a medical-waste disposal provider.

05

Physical cleaning

Separated used instruments are brushed to physically remove contamination.

06

Chemical disinfection

Cleaned instruments undergo chemical disinfection to remove contamination that cannot be seen.

07

Rinsing after disinfection

Instruments are washed again after disinfection to remove residual chemicals and contamination.

08

Ultrasonic cleaning of fine instruments

Small, sharp dental instruments are carefully cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner.

09

Additional disinfection for designated instruments

Instruments used for patients with infectious diseases are kept separate and undergo an additional specialized disinfection process before reuse.

10

NITRAM handpiece cleaning

Handpieces are processed in a dedicated handpiece disinfection unit immediately after use for each patient.

11

Ethylene oxide gas sterilization

Plastic instruments are sterilized using equipment intended for plastic materials.

12

Sterilization packaging

Each instrument is carefully packaged for sterilization.

13

High-temperature, high-pressure autoclaving

Packaged instruments are sterilized with steam generated from purified distilled water under high temperature and pressure for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

14

Dentronix orthodontic instrument sterilization

Orthodontic instruments are sterilized in a dedicated orthodontic instrument sterilizer.

15

Storage in a UV disinfection cabinet

Instruments that have completed sterilization are stored in a UV disinfection cabinet.

16

Dental chair disinfection

Dental chairs touched by patients are thoroughly disinfected.

17

Spittoon disinfection

The chair-mounted rinse basin is also thoroughly disinfected. Because it is close to the patient’s mouth, it receives a separate spray-disinfection and deodorizing treatment.

18

Clinician and staff hygiene

Before seeing patients, all clinicians and staff must wash their hands, wear masks and gloves, and keep their hair secured.

19

Opening instrument packs

Instrument packs are opened in front of the patient. Once opened, they may be handled only by the assigned clinicians and staff wearing gloves and masks.
