At Harue, the dentist personally completes dental restorations using CEREC CAD/CAM technology in one day. This allows patients traveling from other regions or overseas to receive treatment with less time away.
Unlike hair, tooth tissue does not grow back and requires especially careful treatment. Harue can provide veneers with no tooth reduction or only very light preparation.
Reducing average veneer thickness from 0.7 mm to 0.3 mm allows attractive tooth designs with less removal of natural tooth structure. The clinic reports a very low likelihood of sensitivity, veneer fracture or detachment after treatment.
Dr. Lee has developed varied tooth designs to create beautiful teeth with less tooth reduction. In 2009, she also obtained a tooth design patent for enhancing tooth shape while minimizing damage to natural teeth.

“Ceramidentist” combines ceramist and dentist. DR. Hanna Lee is a dentist who personally designs her patients’ veneers.
Smile design considers tooth shape, size and alignment, as well as proportions that suit the patient’s face and smile. Dr. Lee plans each design around the dental condition identified during examination and the shape the patient hopes to achieve.
Dr. Lee has long created diagnostic wax-ups herself to express the intended tooth shape clearly. She personally designs veneer shapes and proportions with the patient’s teeth, face and smile in mind.
For over 20 years, Dr. Lee has repeatedly researched, designed and evaluated tooth shapes. Many of the treatment cases on this website grew out of that work. While veneer treatment is performed by many dentists, the approach can make a difference to safety, appearance and long-term healthy use within the patient’s existing dental condition.
Dr. Lee organizes and analyzes records from her previous treatments to inform care for new patients, working toward veneers that are more attractive, safer and more durable.
Dr. Lee opened her clinic in January 1995, when the Korean drama Sandglass was on television. From 1998, she focused more deeply on anterior aesthetics and implant research.
Her cosmetic work began attracting attention in 2002. In 2005, she met New York cosmetic dentist Gregg Lituchy and dental technician Jason Kim, bringing aspects of their aesthetic approach into her work in Korea.
Cosmetic dentistry can present different challenges in Korea and the United States. The clinic notes that Asian patients tend to have thinner enamel than Western patients and often eat harder foods.
Dr. Lee has used diagnostic wax-ups to plan tooth shape. Since introducing CEREC in 2007, she has designed teeth directly on the computer. She checks and adjusts each CEREC design to fit the patient’s oral condition, face and smile.
Harue is committed to internationally recognized, leading equipment and materials.

The procedure can be performed with minimal tooth reduction compared with other restorative techniques.
Omitting conventional impressions and temporary teeth simplifies treatment.
VITABLOCS Mark II is a feldspathic ceramic used to make restorations such as inlays, onlays and veneers that are bonded to the remaining tooth.
The manufacturer’s instructions for use give a flexural strength of 136±20 MPa (Schwickerath test, ISO 6872). Values can vary with specimen preparation and testing conditions. Conservative restoration planning considers not only material strength, but also remaining enamel and tooth structure and the bonding conditions.
VITA manufacturer information: flexural strength and bonded restorations
A 2018 laboratory study measured significantly higher hardness and elastic modulus for VITA Mark II than for enamel and dentin. These properties differ from flexural strength, so the finding does not mean that the material has the same strength as natural teeth.
Its wear resistance is similar to that of natural teeth.
A published 27-year study reported durability comparable to, or better than, gold restorations.
Its translucency and color offer attractive aesthetics compared with other porcelain restorations.
You can see the tooth design process and discuss the shape you would like.
Reactions to restorative materials and bonding agents vary. Please tell us before treatment if you have had an allergy to metal or dental materials. It is important to review the proposed materials and your allergy history together.
Bonding the final restoration soon after tooth preparation can prevent bacterial contamination and help prevent sensitivity.
